This special day is celebrated throughout the Sunderban to give special emphasis on Sundarban specially about conservation of Natural Beauty, Flora, Fauna & to protect Sunderban from adverse effect of global warming.

Celebration of International Senior Citizen Day (1st October)
International Senior Citizen Day is celebrated every year by active association of different organisations involved in geriatris care & also by active participation of members of BANCHBO healing touch.
Programme includes
WALK for Seniors.
Discussion on different geriatric issues.
Awareness on different geriatric health.
Felicitation of eminent geriatric personalities.
Essay competition for school children on geriatric.
Cultural Programme by geriatric member.
Other events that are celebrated regularly includes Rabindra Jayanti, Poila Baishaksh (Bengali New Year), Vijaya Sammilani and Independence Day.
